We are seeking a Maximo Developer to help us deliver reliable, user-focused applications and services that enable mission success. An ideal candidate will have strong analytical, time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to improving how our applications are developed, supported, and evolved to meet dynamic business needs. As a Maximo Developer you will:

 

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions using IBM Maximo. The role involves working closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate requirements and implement new features, customize workflows, and ensure smooth system integrations.
  • Develop automation scripts, MBOs, and Java classes to extend functionality.
  • Use Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) for data exchange and system connectivity.

 


Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years implementing, maintaining, and supporting IT systems.
  • Proficiency in Java, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and XML for Maximo customization.
  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere, workflows, BIRT reports and automation scripting (Jython, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Occasional weekends and after-hours work may be required to support business or project needs.
  • Hold US Citizenship or permanent resident status, as required to access APL’s facilities and networks, subject to applicable laws.

 

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • A Master’s degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of MAS implementation, Maximo Mobile and Appconnect.
  • Certification as a Maximo Deployment professional.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. $102,500 Annually

Maximum Rate

$290,000 Annually
