Pay Range: $28.44 - $43.76 (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)


GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Performs tests, tunes, and troubleshoots complex RF microwave and millimeter wave hybrid assemblies. Duties include setting up test stations, calibrations, collecting accurate data, documenting conditions (both expected and unexpected), reporting data to engineering and/or QA as requested. Testing may range from simple passive measurements to cascaded active device measurements. Test setups may include automation of instruments, running a myriad of states and populating a dataset. Some troubleshooting may be required.
Duties will also include presenting test results, including setup and graphs to co-workers, engineers, and managers. Simple programming or adjusting of programs and understanding drawings and schematics will be required.
Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units. Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials. May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing. Collaborate with RF Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot product to specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Familiar with RF lab equipment such as digital multimeter, DC power supply, LCR meter, vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, signal analyzer, etc. Supports development activities within a group concentrating on advanced microwave and millimeter wave subsystems for applications including RF front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners, and synthesized sources.
  2. RF circuit alignment, circuit card testing and troubleshooting, subsystem product alignment and testing, collecting, and documenting test data and providing feedback to manufacturing engineers on production products.
  3. Able to troubleshoot with PCB with DMM and other instruments.
  4. Basic understanding or knowledge of antenna fundamentals (frequency bands, directivity, efficiency, patterns...), and anechoic chamber.
  5. Basic understanding of RF system and transceiver, antenna measurement and electromagnetics conducted and over-the-air (OTA).
  6. Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of testing, updating document revision and rework performed.
  7. Actively participate in daily production meetings and regularly interface with manufacturing engineers.
  8. Basic programming (Python), Proficiency Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create, review and execute test procedures and reports.
  9. Organizes and monitors lab equipment, update lab procedures and scheduling workload to meet or exceed laboratory turnaround time.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily
with minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Strong written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform multiple tasks, Organizational and time management skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
