Position Summary & Responsibilities

Resilience is ushering in an era of "Biomanufacturing-as-a-Service" that we expect will displace in-house manufacturing as well as traditional contract manufacturing and development organizations (CDMOs). We see this as a paradigm shift in biomanufacturing akin to the IT industry's adoption of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that rendered obsolete corporate-owned/operated data centers or corporate servers co-located in hosting facilities.

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is a hybrid role, blending aspects of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps expertise. You'll be responsible for writing code, implementing systems, and leading operations to expedite the release of software and infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and hybrid cloud environments. Your hands-on approach will empower software and developer productivity while driving operations within our digital team charged with Cloud Infrastructure Operations and Automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain mechanisms to release and manage software in cloud and on-premises environments using industry-standard tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, AWS CDK, AWS CodePipeline, and Synk, along with others as required.
  • Manage the integrity of our software release mechanisms and infrastructure, collaborating across product engineering, Quality teams, and security teams to build robust automation, remove manual tasks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls and best practices into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that security is prioritized from design to deployment.
  • Build standard infrastructure services, including s, databases, network management abstracts, and resiliency approaches, to accelerate time to value and enhance environment survivability.
  • Maintain a roadmap aligning with our product and company ambitions, ensuring that infrastructure enhancements and automation efforts support our business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting high-velocity product teams in releasing software and infrastructure in cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) constructs, immutable infrastructure, and s.
  • Strong understanding of security, telemetry, and governance best practices in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, Go, Ruby, etc.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification preferred.
  • Additional AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer a plus.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services and ecosystem, with over 3 years of production support, including hands-on experience with tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Experience in a GxP manufacturing enviroment with strong presense in cloud computing preferred.
