Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Director, FP&A IT/G&A is responsible for building Business Partner relationships with the leaders of multiple functions. These leaders include the Chief Information Officer and Heads of all G&A functions. Within the G&A functions, the major functional support areas include Finance, Legal and HR. The role will also lead various FP&A cross functional special projects and continue to build out the Finance function at Resilience. The Director, FP&A will lead all aspects of FP&A business partnering, providing financial leadership, insights, planning and analysis. This position will support key functions and growth projects. This position will establish working relationships, process and methodologies with key stakeholders in the company. Executing on various planning cycles (Budget/Forecast/LRP), understanding business drivers and compiling information into financial plans. This role will have responsibility of supporting total company IT, partnering with other finance business partners to align on planning methodologies and supporting leadership in a matrixed environment.

This role will partner with Function leads/Project leads and will need to establish key relationships with stakeholders. FP&A at RESILIENCE is in a growth mode, requiring a start-up mentality and an ability to work collaboratively to support all areas of Finance. This start-up mentality is critical as Resilience is a growing organization with developing workflows, multiple system implementations and changing processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary Finance business partner to IT and G&A. Drive the annual budget, forecast and LRP planning process for respective functions.
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly/quarterly business reporting packages and dashboards, interpret financial information, and communicate to the function heads. Deep insight into operating costs, personal, capex, and projects
  • Compile detailed actuals by Capital Project (POs / Invoices) to help Project Owners review status of their projects and track progress against budget
  • Own Functional Finance Support for identified functional areas, supporting and strategizing on key growth levers for the company
  • Partner with IT and vendor partners to track Project spend aligning project details to POs, Invoicing and Project forecasting
  • Identify and Implement metrics and models to provide insights and financial rigor to to growth areas of the business
  • Support management of Function POs, ensuring only open POs for ongoing work
  • Partner with other finance business partners to support other function and site financials where IT spend is included in a matrixed managed environment
  • Lead discrete Projects/Implementations on the overall finance team to build in processes, systems and more efficiencies in the organization
  • Approve Purchase Requisitions and new hire TBH Requisitions for supported functions
  • Build partnerships with Stakeholders, provide insights and financial support
  • Lead the annual budget, forecast, and long-range plan for supported areas
  • Complete monthly BVA reporting adding both qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Routinely communicate business, financial, and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics
  • Identify trends and variances to expected results with action plans to resolve outliers
  • Develop and Implement Forecasting models for both planning and accrual recognition
  • Support Accounting in the monthly close process/accruals, Budget vs Actual analysis and access to results
  • Leverage existing and introduce new technologies to automate where possible
  • Expand use of technology to bring efficiencies and self-service Dashboards for both Financial and Operating metrics
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing utilization of the FP&A financial system(s)
  • Perform ad hoc analytics as required
  • Lead project based cross functional initiatives aligning disparate processes/systems to one methodology and driving towards increased financial/operational insights


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience developing and supporting growth functions, implementing change and standardizing the finance support relationship
  • Experience business partnering with IT, understanding software and cloud services
  • Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis with progressive responsibility; preference with exposure to IT and G&A within biotechnology companies


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong presentation, consensus building and leadership skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and can work with all levels of employees and be able to present findings to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across corporate functions and multiple stakeholders

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $160,000.00 - $227,500.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
