Engineering Technician 3 - 3rd shift needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.

This position will be for a major biotech company, and requires someone with experience with process improvement activities, wafer-based fabrication or chemistry processes, data mining or programming skills, prototyping in a high-tech industry, and developing consumables processes and products (preferred).

Shift: Sun to Thurs, 10 pm - 6:30 am (3rd shift)

Key Responsibilities
As an Engineering Technician you will carry out experiments and collect experimental data. This position will provide opportunities to interact with various project teams and internal partners to rapidly investigate problems, develop countermeasures, and prevent recurrence. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment.

• Owns high complexity tasks and problems, with minimal supervision.

• Experience summarizing data required.
• Experience with process improvement activities required
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience
• Experience with wafer-based fabrication or chemistry processes preferred
• Data mining or programming skills a plus
• Experience with prototyping in a high-tech industry is a plus
• Experience with developing consumables processes and products a plus
• Work experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical or semiconductor industries is desirable but not required
