Pay Range: $65,085.72 - $100,131.60 (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under limited supervision, is responsible for process improvement and implementation of process controls to continually improve the production process and quality of product. Plans, conducts, and supervises assignments. Plans and assigns personnel for given assignments and consults on performance issues with management. Having wide-ranging experience in mechanical and electrical fields, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Considered a subject matter expert. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires 2+ years of related professional experience and GED/High School diploma.
  • Hands-on mechanical, electrical and analytical experience.
  • Thorough understanding of production processes within the company, or experience in same industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, have demonstrated ability to work productively with customers, and good technical skills.
  • Ability to manage independent projects and follow through on process improvement procedures.
  • Must be computer literate, to include use of MS office Suite.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture of final product via the co-fire furnaces.
  2. Utilizes the supply chain to obtain appropriate quotations for parts or service to ensure the required furnace availability and mean time between failures.
  3. Directs maintenance technician in the performance of maintenance, repairs, and rebuilding of co-fire furnaces.
  4. In conjunction with production and engineering establishes recommended furnace maintenance procedures.
  5. Notifies production planning personnel when issues arise that would affect production scheduling or delivery commitments.
  6. Creates work instructions and other associated process documentation, and provide training required to support production, new processes, and improvements through collaboration with production.
  7. Gathers and compiles data for analysis towards process improvements in the co-firing area.
  8. Networks with other department personnel (including other engineers and supervisors) to tackle procedural and quality issues that are related to the production and delivery of good quality product.
  9. Builds good working relationship with production personnel and supervisors in related areas.
  10. Works with production to ensure furnace availability and reduce mean time between failures.
  11. May supervise and provide direction to furnace operators and technician.
  12. Recommends furnace maintenance or projects to meet required capabilities.
  13. Work Schedule is from Tuesday - Saturday
